Another turtle and perennial garden

I found another turtle laying eggs in the yard today. It's another spotted turtle momma.

The perennial garden is coming along nicely and blooming. The blooms are coreopsis, achillea, lamium, heuchera, salvia, cat mint, veronica, and dianthus.

Just what is the Cult of Domesticity?

Okay...so I don't really fit that mold, being a highly independent woman, but I remembered the term from college and thought it would make a good blog title since I'm a new wife and homeowner!
